Pullis pmsl.
And they wonder why as a nation we are so far behind the rest of the footballing world!
What Pullis has achieved at Palace, given the state Holloway left them in, and the points total they had when he took over, is nothing short of miraculous. He had to take a side which, as it was one Holloway had built, had less clue about defending than your average Under 12's Girls team, and somehow turn them into a defensively sound unit. He didn't, and still doesn't, have the attacking options available to him to score the goals required. Palace have the joint second worse goalscoring record (only 31 scored, with only Norwich's 28 being worse) yet they will finish In 11th place, mainly down to the fact there are only 6 sides with a better defensive record (Liverpool and Spurs have conceded more). For me Pullis and Rodgers are the two managers who have got the most out of the players available to them. Pellegrini may very well end up winning the league, but we've got the best squad in the Premier League so that's not a huge surprise, what Pullis and Rodgers have achieved is.
Sorry Matty not having it.
He has done a good job, like he ways does of keeping a side in the PL and nothing more.
Only in this country could a man new to the league claim a cup and league double in his first season and get overlooked for manager of the year.
To be honest I don't give a fuck and I'm sure neither does our gaffer but it's choices like Club shop man that keeps this country years behind the rest of the footballing world.
Last night we saw a team that never panicked, never steered away from its game plan and a side that knew they would break down a flat back 10 if they stuck to their and the gaffers beliefs and instructions.
You would have Still been staring up in the sky waiting for the ball to come back down had our so called manager of the year been tasked with the same!
