Sky report - England v Italy chaos

We can kiss goodbye to getting the World Cup this century. Good work, England 'fans'. Thanks for giving the world the impression we are the scum of the earth.
Let's not get carried away. Our fans have misbehaved on away trips for years but Wembley is still the number one choice for UEFA when they have a big event to be hosted.

Russia and Hungary have had major disturbances recently but were allowed to host a World Cup and Euros matches.

The World Cup will come here if FIFA get what they want in dollar signs.

I'd love to hear Gary Neville's views on the Wembley final.

According to his logic, the England fans at Wembley did nothing wrong. They simply stormed a stadium which was seen as "peaceful" two months ago by Neville.
Very good point - i'd not even considered the Rat-Boy angle as yet.........

The England fans wanting to police it did so I assume because having paid a lot of money for tickets saw these entitled freeloaders getting in for nowt and in some cases sitting in their seats.
İf i had paid a fortune for a ticket i would be a little peeved to see a twat jibbing in but wouldnt resort to kicking someone in the head, thats gutless and cowardly.İdeally should be down to the stewards to sort it out but they are not physically suited to strongarming some scally out of the ground

I think the opposite. She doesnt apologise when she feels she doesn't have to and she backs her workforce more than most. Many of the Chief Constables are politicians and in the news always as they can wait to get apologies out. She does not do that.
Wembley are to blame here, not the police. It wasnt their event to manage. It could have been, but the FA and Wembley chose to run it with stewards who were on the take

I'll go with your insider knowledge on her. As a layman she comes across as a bit weak and one of those pc ( no pun intended) appointments.

Oh yes the blame lies squarely with Wembley and the fa, I have lambasted them in another post.

Incidents like this is why I am not that bothered about our national team. Don’t get me wrong I would rather England win but it’s not the same as City. I can’t identify with these so called fans,
You’re not any different to anyone in the country really. Anyone who supports a club is naturally club-before-country. It’s just common sense to think that the club you live and breathe from week-to-week is more important to you than the national team who only play in tournaments every two years.

However, as much as City winning the league, that first FA Cup after 35 years, or if we ever win the Champions League, means more to me than anything England (as it would most people who support any clubs); a World Cup final or European Championships final is ten times bigger than the biggest club game. Frank Lampard said the same thing on the BBC before the final last week “I’ve played in big games, Champions League finals, but this feels like something else, it’s on another level altogether.”

So I can see where that crazy rush to get in came from and I can see why the fans inside took exception to those breaking in.

That 2011 Wembley FA Cup semi against the Rags was fucking rife with City fans jibbing in at the turnstiles. We had four lads on our coach who had no tickets but who got in. It was fucking heaving with Blues in our end that day, there were far more than however many tickets we were given!

I’ve also seen footage of people breaking through barriers and going fucking bananas to get into Michael Jackson and The Beatles concerts, or even just to catch a glimpse of them. Christ, one man was so obsessed with John Lennon he assassinated him!
