Sky Sports Deals

I'm paying £30.99 a month currently for Signature, HD, Netflix & Disney+ (with free Sky Go Extra too, but I think everybody gets that). I also have my mobile with them for £3.60 a month with 2GB data (with rollover) and free calls & texts for 36 months from when I agreed the contract.

Part of the reason for that price is that I'm a Diamond VIP member of 15+ years standing (or a Black Member as it was originally called :) True story).

The other part is that I made the almighty cock-up of ordering Sky Glass when it launched but after all the initial reviews came out cancelled the order before it arrived. It broke my account that badly that I've still got it pending delivery on my account as they can't remove it :(

The silver lining was that I eventually had to contact the bank to do a chargeback of £874 having paid up front, Sky just couldn't refund me as their systems were seriously screwed. A week later they did refund me somehow the same amount, and despite having two long conversations with them, they told me that there was no amount owed by me on their system. The second call was with a back office staff member who had much deeper access and still insisted that they'd only paid me the once.

As a Diamond Member, whenever I phone up I get through to a priority team, so hopefully will continue to be UK based.

My BB is fast fibre plus free calls from NowTV for £22 which they extended for another 12 months (rolling monthly) at the end of last year out of the blue.
Yeah, I’m a diamond VIP member too so always get phone instantly answered, which is nice.

I did my renewal before Xmas, I’ve done the cancelling it all plenty of times too, but they know I’m bullshitting as we can’t get Virgin in Rammy anyway, lol.

I actually got a decent lady on the phone, told her what I wanted and said as long as it starts with a “5” then I’ll happily renew, surprise surprise after 5 mins she came back with an offer of £59 per month and threw in Sky Cinema with Paramount+ too.

So I have Sky Q, 2 multi screen boxes, Sky Signature, Netflix, Sky HD, Sky Cinema & Paramount+ all for £59 and then use a separate private members system for my sport that I pay £3 per month for.

I also have a fully loaded IPTV fire stick for emergencies that’s £55 per year.

Has anybody else had a price increase from April of circa 13%? This is to an existing contract and not a renewal.

I have had the same thing from Vodafone,

Literally just renewed, don't get how they are allowed to inflict such a high CPI.

Managed to haggle some money off it and will pay it but I'm switching when my current contract is up.

Yes we got a letter about price increases, didn't take much notice to be honest as I'm out of contract in July and will be sacking it.
Thanks pal, just seen on twitter others have been hit.

Just wanted to check it wasn't an admin f*ck up from their side as only renewed in Jan. Also never encountered such a high increase within contract either whilst I've been with them over the years.

If you want, I think you’re allowed to cancel it without penalty if you’re so soon after starting a new contract. Used to be the case anyway.

Seemingly for Sky TV they can put it up once per year by up to 10% (according to Uswitch).
