was thinking the same. Purslow seems to be talking a lot of sense. Not sure on Gazidis

Purslow just said he hopes us and chelsea get slung out!

Edit. Just rewound to check:

Presenter: Finally Christian can you realistically see, when push comes to shove, a club like Manchester City, a club like Chelsea, a big spending club being slung out of the Champions League because they don't meet the criteria?

Purslow: Well, I hope so because Ivan is absolutely right, everyone in football I talk to thinks the general initiative to force clubs to run their businesses properly is good for all ...

They are in for a shock then when we pass with flying colours...bastards. Pity about Chelsea though :-)

Can anyone provide a quick recap of everything that was said, was any sense spoken or was the half hour used to simply bash Manchester City?.

Agreed - he's having a go at the rules themselves, just saying he doesn't believe they'll stick and also making the point (as someone here previously said) that the rules will really only help those with big profit turnovers already, while making it more difficult for anyone else to compete...

The reason i don't take much interest in what these sort of people say is that they are obviously going to be biased towards their clubs and i'd honestly be shocked if they wasn't. I know if i ran a football club i'd look out for its best interests. Where as every 'independent' football finance expert they've had on has said that the people behind city are being very clever and astute in the way they've made huge short term losses so as to comply with these regulations and generate huge revenue in the long term.

The basic thing to sum all this up is, are you worried about the clubs fortunes and FFPR? I know i'm not. Not one bit.

well that was 30 mins of my life that i'm never gonna get back!!

what a complete waste of airtime that was!!!

having said that i thought gazidis(sp) spoke the most sense.
saying that he thought calling it financial fair play gave the wrong impression as there was no way morally better than another to fund a football club

Well, I was thinking he was ok until he hoped we get slung out. Shame really. All speculative as expected and no real probing questions, challenging theories. It was the equivalent of the Daily Sport explaining quantum physics.

Also clocked him saying something along the lines of "some of these clubs make these losses on purpose and are awfully run", clearly referring to us and Chelsea. I'd love to find a club who's owners run it better than ours in the Premier League.
