Slow cooker advice please

I've got a Morphy Richards slow cooker. Don't know about sticking the inside pot on the hob. The instructions said not to let the inside dish stand in water!
What oven has water in it?

Yeah I've been looking at the sear and stew model. You can brown the meat on the hob using the in er pot then add it to the main part of the slow cooker and add liquid and veg turn it on and leave it too it.

Looked at crock pots too vintage but they don't seem to have the pot on hob thing

My bread maker us used every other day, my cafetière twice a day and slow cooker about once a month.

I've got one, had it years. Its just the same as sticking a big casserole dish in the oven on low.
It sits in the same cupboard as the breadmaker, the lean mean grilling machine, cafetiere, Breville sandwich maker and soda stream.

Hell of a lot easier on your electric than the oven, especially if your cooking ribs for 8 hours.

Guy who fitted my electric oven told me it uses more electricity than everything else in the house out together

Get one of those devices that show you what kit uses what power. Electric ovens, showers, kettles and toasters send it through the roof.

I'm going to get organised this sat and buy flour and yeast, I have a really good bread maker, a loaf costs about 6p and so much better than shop bought!

My Slow Cooker is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Nothing better than coming home from work with dinner all done already. Tastes so much better as well when cooked all day.

Is that true about the leccy it uses though BBB? I'm hoping not bloody hell leave mine on twice a week for about 8 hours

Irons, tumble dryers, anything that generates heat is expensive. Electric four times more expensive than gas !

It's very posh- Tesco's own! I remember when I bought it I thought I'd get a cheap one to make sure I used it first. Normally I shell out on these things and they sit gathering dust in the cupboard. Think from memory it only cost about 20 quid.
