Slow cooker advice please

My bread maker us used every other day, my cafetière twice a day and slow cooker about once a month.

That is slow!

Electricity 15p to 16p per KWH

Gas is only 4p to 5p per KWH

The Tesco Cookworks is great and probably half the price of some named brands. Mrs ABM did a beef stew at weekend. We'd been out all day, picked up a crusty un-sliced loaf and tucked in when we got home, absolutely lovely.

Seems to be the general consensus that you don't need to buy an expensive one. The cheaper ones do the same job. Great news
