Sticking my head above the parapet here but we know from experience that one sentence of a long interview that a player does can be spun into something it wasn't really. Maybe Smalling meant to say that we can't expect to win every single match until the end of the season, and therefore that the rags might have a chance to catch us - true or not, it's not an unreasonable thing to say.
Having said that, winning the league against them at Etihad would be very fucking sweet.

Bwahaha Chris Smalling is one of the most lifeless defenders I have ever seen. The lad is not up to top 4 standard and will be back at mid table or lower, within the next 24 months.
