Smart TV's, recommendations please

Yep. Thought I'd take a gamble and watched 'Together' on it via City+ the other night. Was very impressed with the picture quality.

I'd also recommend LG - as the smart TV I got off them 6 or 7 years ago has been great and still going strong.
Yeh i’ve a 55” lg 4k had it about 5yrs now so its not the best but its been quality couldn’t fault it

Stoner speaks the truth. It is a load of rubbish. You want good spec on stuff that matters. App stores and such are rarely polished, updates are not regular, interface is often poor, software "spies" on you by default, you have to go to settings and opt out manually. Built in wifi is, imo, not as strong as a firestick either very often.

Get a good TV and then stick a firestick in it. They are well optimized, have good wifi ability, software is updated regularly.

Consider where the tv will go, no point getting a 110" tv if you have a small room.

What is your price range?

I bought a TCL 55" QLED 4k UHD smart telly recently and can't complain. Was only £480.

I was a bit suspicious as never heard of them but I've had no issues.
TCL are a big brand here in Oz, they're big in China too. Loads of doctors waiting rooms and hotel's have them.
I have an 85" TCL.superb and way cheaper than Samsung LG etc

only recommendation I have is not Sony.
Worst TV I ever bought was a 2018 Sony Bravia Android TV. It reboots every other time I switch it on now and if it doesn't do that it starts without the hdmi signal from the Sky box meaning I have to remove the lead and re-plug it back in, although that could also be a Sky box issue. Common problem it seems but impossible to get Sony to reply to any questions.

Will probably replace with an LG at some point (with a long Richer Sounds guarantee).

Exactly my problems + a regular black out every hour or so for a few seconds. Before this be I had Sony for years and years and they were brilliant sets. This one stinks.
