Started back on the roll ups yesterday until my new vape arrives and I've not told the mrs....I'd just gone outside for a crafty one and when I came in she went ballistic. " Have you started smoking again...it fucking stinks in here, get out !!!" she's right, obviously and it tastes absolute shite. Hurry up posty....

The disposables are pretty good and don't stink obviously. I smoke, and have done since I was 18. Halved my intake in recent years though and am on about 10 a day now.
My great uncle started smoking at 12 years of age and had 10 woodbines a day to the day he died aged 89.
I gave up for 2 years about 30 years back, tried to make my Grandad give up too. He wouldn't though, said "you're a long time dead, and I enjoy a cigarette."
I kind of understood that.

The effects of smoking on the UK are £2.5Bn per year (NHS), £5Bn (Employers, due to worker illnesses - avg 3 more sickdays per year, 30 mins less productivity per day), £5Bn other costs such as less income tax (due to early death or inability to work of the smoker plus effect of unpaid carers working less) and there are around 6.9 million smokers, so that averages £1812 per smoker.
Cheap hobby then! Tax needs doubling then you can do what you want.

One of them called Aiden used to roll his own and he to smoked like a chimney.One saturday one of the gang scraped some dog shit up from outside and rolled it up in a paper and put it in Aidan's smoking flask.Well when he put it in his mouth he was coughing his guts up.The guys conviced him it was the tobacco :-) (I would of been pissing myself if I was there watching:-) It worked because he gave up and lived till 84 untill his death in 1977.
