Surely this can't be true. This has dragged on too long to be realistic now.

It's how deadline day works mate. Track a player all summer, talk fee's, turn players head, walk away, place bid on last day which the club will consider then sign said player.

It's like Van Der Varrt for Spurs last summer. They tracked him all summer but wouldn't pay £16m, all of a sudden they get a reduced deal because it's the deadline. VDV went to spurs for £8m in the end

I suppose you're right. I'm just suspicious after he tweeted saying he'd signed a contract extention and wants to grow old in Milan (that's what Kaka said before he signed for Madrid though!). I guess we'll just have to see.

We will be competing against them come what may. We don't need him and I dont think they need him either. Maybe in the CL.
