So do you believe yet?

The derby could very well be the championship decider but I see City being 4 pints clear by then.

If only it was a drinking game eh. We'd murder them.

I so want to believe that we can do it this year I can almost taste it, but 33 years of watching city is still holding me back. I shall content myself with only doing one game at a time and seeing how things pan out but suspect that belief will only disappear when it is mathematically impossible for us to achieve it This season the belief has lasted far longer than in any other season I can remember.

I still think the title will be between Utd, Chelsea & Spurs

That is just your City fan mentality kicking in.

I will give you United - they will be in there I'm sure.
I will give you Chelsea - on reputation alone, and I'm not totally convinced personally.

But Spurs?

Sorry, but there is zero justification for writing us off and counting them in. Points gained already, all around performances (they play football like they are still in junior school - no concept of defence), depth of squad...

We are better than them in all areas (and about to get stronger by buying a player they thought they had a chance to sign).

If they have any chance of winning it, so do we.

just hope the players and manger think we can win it, confidence is the key. we certainly have the team to do it so why not. however i think any of the top 5 can win it, didnt think spurs a few weeks ago but they just wont go away but a long season could find them losing form in the run in hopefully. i see untd play and just think we are so much better than them.

Utd will eun away with it IF Rooney recovers.

If he does not, then we have as much a chance as anyone.

Arsenal look vulnerable defensively, Chelsea look vulnerable to injuries (though I think they maybe through their bad spell - every team has one or two). Spurs have Dawson coming back, and maybe King. Dawson had already shored up their defence.

The League is tremendously competitive at the top and the bottom where 3 points separate about half the league.

For the time being we should aim to remain in contention and see where we are in March. Hopefully we don't go mad in the transfer window..... that's one area where we could derail ourselves as we're just seeing the benefits of some continuity

It's on like Donkey Kong. City has the deepest squad in the league (by far) and proved it by thrashing Aston Villa w/ Barry, Milner, Tevez and Boateng on the bench. When fatigue and injuries start catching up with the other teams, City will be just starting to click.

You also have to take into account that defense doesn't slump like offense does. The loss to Everton was a heartbreaker but the chances they generated and constant use of hands by Everton's players in the box should have seen them take at least a point from that match. The was I see it, they're giving up the fewest goals per game in the league and five of the ones they did concede were meaningless as each match was already out of reach. (I'm referring to the two against Blackpool and one each to Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle). Plus, three they gave up were against Arsenal when they were down a man.

If they can shore it up in the waning minutes of halves/games and play to win against their biggest competition they will win going away.

Rooney has not scored a goal in open play since March the fat scouse half wit is either carrying an injury or burnt out, no 30 goals this season then.
Playing in a team in decline not lost yet but not able to win away consistantly will be caught out towards the back end of the season and fall away.
Chelsea in chaos behind the curtains and no money to re inforce in January will just hang on in there.
Arsenal , weak and inconsistant with no funds to re inforce in January not capable of a serious challange
The Spuds overhyped by the Luvvie Southern media distracted by the Chimps League and no money to re inforce in January will be knocked out of the Chimps league and after Redknapp jailed for fraud in Febuary just fall apart.

Gods own Football Club....you work it out providing we start to win our home games.
