Another Rooney thread :(

Another book on WWII , Another Cookery programme etc etc - don't read it then the clue was in the title!
To be fair to the Thread - it is an interesting question and relevant to the meeting today.
can't abide these "Another....." posts - assumes we all have time to trawl through everything on the site. Some of us have limited time to pop in here. The Mods do a good job of merging threads anyway.

i'm getting sick of other managers biging ferguson up and united saying there the best club/manager etc in the world, what about there own clubs and fans, how low can people become

Basement - Shotgun - Mass "Suicide".

They need another tragedy to distract from the truth.

Three options in my view:

1) Compromise can not be reached. Both parties agree Rooney should leave. Slurgie freezes him out until either they get an acceptable offer or his contract runs down. This will be Slurgie's main weapon - an England international with such a reputation would find it hard to maintain his status, but woudl also reflect badly on the club for treating him that way.

2) Agree he should leave, but not until an agreed data that suits the club. Until then he commits to the club and is available to play, on the understanding that they will let him move on.

3) Patch it up and goes back to normal. This would require reassurance of investment from the club, possibly as far down as verbally confirming to Rooney who they are targeting.
