Carlos Tevez is so adamant he wants to quit Manchester City that he will go public with his reasons which will surely make any decision to force him to stay untenable.

Tevez is now also livid at the club's statement insinuating that he has been manipulated into this decision by his representatives. The Argentine is set to issue a statement indicating the reasons behind his personal decision to quit Eastlands.

And it will open up enormous wounds, when he reveals information about how the club is run, alleged promises made to him, and claims that such promises have been broken.

Tevez rejected a one-off bonus to stay for the season, the biggest ever offered to a single player, but he turned it down because nearly six months ago, he had virtually made up his mind he wanted to quit the club.

Bitter resentment that has been bubbling just below the surface is about to explode and the ramifications could be immense for City. Tevez paints a picture of disarray behind the scenes at one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, if not the richest.

It likely to make Tevez ever playing again for the club virtually impossible, and certainly unthinkable beyond the January transfer window and will intensify the pressure on manager Roberto Mancini and also the senior management team behind the scenes.

ESPNsoccernet has been given a full insight into the reasons why Tevez, the team's captain and talisman, wants to leave.

Tevez has shocked the title challengers by submitting a formal transfer request, which has brought a reaction from City in turning it down, and now Tevez will react by going public on his reasons for wanting to leave.

To me now the situation is irreversible,i for one hope the little bastard never dawns a city shirt ever again,no-one and i mean no-one should be allowed to act like this i as a die hard city fan have two words for you tosser you can,,,,,,,,,F**K OFF!!!!!!!!

And Cook is the problem because he will not give in to Tevez's and his agents 'demands' for a new, extended and improved contract !

Well done Cook,

F'Off Tevez !

I don't care much for blaming anyone, we knew exactly what Joorabchian was like before we got involved with him, but it suited our purpose at the time. Now that it doesn't we can't pretend to be disgusted by him...

We dipped our corporate cock into his fetid, stinking hole so there should be no surprise that we have come down with something itchy here.

Cooky and co need to sort this out, and the outcome should be Tevez stays at the club. Whether the way to do that is play hardball or to take a softer approach we cannot know as fans, but Tevez must not leave the club if it is at all avoidable IMO.

If anything, this is a great test of leadership at the club.

With due respect, I disagree. We should not take the stance that we should do whatever it takes. To negotiate, you have to have the option to walk away from the table. There have to be boundaries. Tevez's agent is saying he won't honor the contract. If he's offering something more (i.e. 3 more years), then it's appropriate to be willing to add something more. But if he's saying he won't honor the current contract, then City have to tell him to take a walk off a plank, or City as a club will be ruined with every current and future player. City have done everything to honor their side of the contract. There's no blame on the leadership of the club, nor would Tevez leaving be an indication they did anything wrong.

more bollox if true

they really must think we are stupid and can be easily manipulated because of our (pre-transfer request) hero worship of Tevez and his goal record to date

yet we all know how this game works. We saw it with wooney and we've seen it with countless other mercenaries

some club at some point needs to make a stand with one of these unbelievably greedy and ungrateful fuckers

most clubs need to recoup the money desperately and have to cave in as they have no choice

City can afford to take the hit and the more I hear the more I am thinking that we should play super hardball with this agent and his player

this might mean that other mercenaries would not in future join City but really so what? We will still attract top quality professionals who want to be amongst the biggest earners on the planet playing for a club that is going to compete at the very highest level

seriously tell them to show some respect or make him see out his contract with the stiffs

Tevez or our CEO?? Behave Kia ffs. Player power will never reach that level pal.

Only one winner. Bye Carlos.

Interesting couple of days coming up I think. The club are doing the right thing by taking this stance with Tevez. I would of thought at the end of this season if we got into the Champions League Tevez would of got a new deal at the club. His agent must of took a close look at the Rooney shit earlier and said we will do the same thing and hope to get a new contract. I cant wait to see what Mancini has to say about this he has given Tevez time off to get back to his family since he has been manager.

The fans wont be happy but I would guess if Tevez plays again for City they will back the player and not boo a City player. IF the club decide to sell then so be it but we should be looking for top top money. He is a whole hearted player who gives his all on the pitch when he plays so I would guess he will want to go out on a high with the fans unlike Robbie. Not much business is done in the January window so its a no go for most clubs. So I honestly think the club or Mancini will sort something out between now and the end of the season so Tevez stays at the club and see what happens at the end of the season I would guess and hope for. Been a great player for us just greedy agents has there heads turned.

Would rather consider that Kia has the problem with our Cook rather than Tevez. Think the Tevez camp will now have to take stock, stir a little bit more and work harder to ferment their side of the story. That's probably why they are after Cook, the man that said 'no' to Kia and the man that sanctioned the sacking of Hughes...

Whatever the reason is and this may range from his girlfriend leaving with the children, he shagged someone else whilst his girlfriend was pregnant, mancini's man management, cook's stance to not negotiate until the summer or even the manchester weather. I could not care less right now.

Thankfully, the consensus (that I've read on the other City forums) is that the motivation is for an improved contract and an agents fee for Kia. The 'missing the children' message has not washed with most other blues and the general feeling is that this is a mere smoke screen.

Meanhile, read somewhere else (mancityfans) that Barca have a massive sponsorship deal in the making and/or it is done and dusted. If Tevez goes to Barca, I will laugh my thermal socks off. Kia, sure does know how to sniff out the money men if this is true. Not sure about this but I also heard that he went to Spain to see his kids. Think it was for a Pep talk!!!
The Barcelona shirt-sponsorship deal was confirmed this weekend at £120 million. It'd be nice for us to have some of that for this little ingrate.

Get behind Cook and Mancini! This could finally galvanize the club and the fans and get everyone moving forward together with or without Carlos. Our future is very exciting.
