If his remit is to ensure United are bigged up all the time in an attempt to use them to protect the PL brand, shouldn't he not have done this?
This statement is exactly what he has done.
There are a few games left and just enough time to turn it round. They have been shot all season, why say this now?
He should never have said it. If Utd put on a run, the fingers will point to this statement as the rallying call.
