I have seen the article and it is a silly thing to say, but it doesn't prove anything has gone on. Let's not make the mistake of thinking united haven't had squads capable of winning titles, and more importantly the manager to do it. The fact they have the same squad but not the same manager now and find themselves a laughing stock suggests ferguson is responsible for those titles. It's not like they have had 20 years worth of average players but have somehow win the league 13 times. They've deserved the titles they've won just like arsenal, Blackburn, Chelsea and us have. If there was a bias to ensure united were kept top each year, then the trophy woukd simply only have their name on it since it's inception, or let me guess, others have been allowed to win it so it's not too obvious?

What I dont get about this agenda thing, rags win it because they famous. Wouldn't the Premier League of picked Liverpool who were infinetly more famous and marketable at the time and also winning things

It's no use, even when they effectively admit what the underlying reason was for all the favouritism over the years (it was commercial just like many had been saying on here for years) he still can't see it

They did everything in their power to ensure that MUFC were there or there about the top of the PL, I also maintain that the major broadcasters were also in on this for the very same commercial reasons (i.e selling the product abroad)

Spencer is definitely pro-manyoo and it defeats logic and possibility to assume that you can pick as many referees as are in the elite pool from the available referees while not having one that supports a club that have been in the premier league at any stage during their tenure. It's also bloody stupid to assume that none of them would lie to give themselves a higher wage by refereeing in the championship and premier league instead of leagues 1&2.

It would have been easy as pie to not award the 2 after the first one, if Clattenburg suddenly had 'the voice' in his ear reminding him where he is, who he is reffing and to remember what was wrote on the self-destructing letter of instructions last August.

Lets be honest have you never seen them benefit from "refs randomly sending off opposition players and awarding inexplicable penalties for them". We also saw another not awarded in the same match, it could have been 4. I did see a team that should have had 2 players sent off but didn't in the City match.

Which brings me to the point of why now?

Referees aren't coming into it, the guy said, lazily, Scudamore is using his heightened position to get rid of Moyes, because he's probably a rag'. A little search shows he is actually a Bristol fan, which there's nothing sinister in and no reason to not believe.

I think you and Pige have become so obsessed with agendas that you're unable to see any middle ground on the issue. For me it's not about a governing body ensuring a particular team wins, its about treating every club equally. This statement proves to me that one club is treated differently because of the size of its fanbase.

Why now indeed, because if you think he is saying it now so that refs start giving them decisions all of a sudden what kind of run can they go on? What will it achieve? Will the teams above them all get negative decisions I take it, and we will see Moyes all of a sudden do a complete about-turn and watch united storm into 4th with ease?
