I hope they serve their whole sentence in Peru. I don't see why us taxpayers should foot the bill for the comfort and convenience of this pair of get-rich-quick merchants. No sympathy for them at all. Let them rot as an example to others.

Still think the men who told them to do it used them as a sacrifice to the authorities. Gave them x amount to smuggle then say you found them with a millions worth less, in return the authorities will turn a blind eye to others coming through the system. Told border control two attractive looking British girls will be catching a plane back to Madrid and there's your bribe.

No sympathy whatsoever and the way the BBC are covering is portraying them as victims.
