So there's an Irish and a Scottish girl in Peru.......

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

They deserve all they are going to get. I have no sympathy what so ever.

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

They were greedy silly girls and should have known better, they are guilty as far as I am concerned because they did not go straight to the police once in the airport.
That said, have we not all fucked up in varying degrees of severity in our lives, especially where money is concerned?? Hopefully they will get a few years only and be let out without fanfare after a few months, to teach them a lesson.
Many holier than thou posts on here as usual but we are all entitled to our opinion..

I have sympathy. Nobody should be in jail for drug taking, supplying or smuggling offences. All drugs should be legalised and taxed.

I don't want to side track the thread but as soon as you tax something you open up a market for smugglers, the obvious example is tobacco. The better way is to do what they trialled in Liverpool, walk in clinics where heroin was given to addicts to take with clean needles. There were conditions, you had to use on the premises etc. but it worked. It stopped addicts going to dealers and also reduced crime. I do not know why it was stopped I can only assume it was lack of funding and therefore political.
Whilst you have so much money in the supply of drugs you will always have silly girls like this.

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

I hope they spend all their jail time in Peru. I don't want to have to pay for the upkeep of either of these fools. Sorry for their families though.

The Daily Wail has good video and photo coverage - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-claimed-kidnapped-forced-smuggle-drugs.html

The Scot says they were forced to take the bags but didn't know they contained drugs. What did they think they we being coerced into? Emergency food relief for Spain?

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

They didn't do much to help their cause by dressing as if they had just fell out of a nightclub either. One had vive est belle on her top. I think that means the beautiful life or, life is beautiful. ... I'll wager she isn't thinking that when Maria de Mingemangle from A wing has got her noshing on Bacon strips for roll-ups

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

Apparantly they will get 7 years each if both charged, if only one of them is that one person will get 25... not sure why that is

Re: So these two Irish girls in Peru

Stupid girls who went for the quick money, I don't pity them, but I have sympathy for their families.

They will do whatever sentence is handed to them, come out and do the media circuit saying how they were set up, go into the jungle on I'm a Celebrity while waiting on the royalties from banged up abroad.

Would there be the same media interest if it was a couple of skanky lads from Manchester ?

Not too sure legalising drugs would do much good. Alcohol is legal and that causes no end of social problems.
