Article in the Telegraph last week: their nine football journalists gave their tips for who will win (a) the Premier League and (b) the FA Cup this season.

0/9 predicted City to win the Premier
1/9 predicted City to win the FA Cup

Man United got 6 nominations.

It does seem a bit odd / hard to explain.

I wonder if they will have changed their minds this week?

The independent today had an piece under "what we learnt from this weekend" saying that performance against Liverpool is why we were favourites. Watch this space again were the least favourite by most pundits at the start and then at the end when it comes to awards time they'll come out with...well City had the strongest squad I'm surprised they didn't win it by more...and the award for MOY goes to Martinez for finishing 5th.

Anyone who predicted united to win the league knows the princely sum of fuck-all about football.

Sometimes people confuse what they want to happen with what they think will actually happen.

Its a complement really. They all think that City will win the league and think that their colleagues believe the same. They don't want to be seen to be part of the herd, so tip someone else. They probably all looked at the predictions and thought "Bloody hell, nobody has tipped City".

Anyone else notice this? On Tuesday I was watching the rags game after they went 1 down and following the other scores on the BBC site on my iPad. They showed live scores from the first 10 or so games, then you had to hit the 'More Scores' button to see the rest. The games were supposedly listed in alphabetical order but the MK Dons v the rags score wasn't there on the main page where it should have been.

When I pressed the 'More Scores' button, it was listed between West Brom and West Ham, as though they wanted to hide it away. Very odd.

Yes I thought that to be very strange.

At first I thought they had decided that they were Wimbledon not MK Dons but that is not alphabetic either.

Wierd!
