He hasn't got a better record than Mancini, that's a fairy story
He got Villarreal to a CL semi final and was a minute away from taking Malaga to a semi final. Far greater than anything Mancini has done in Europe.

A whole round further.
Malaga had half their team sold in the previous summer while he built Villarreal from nothing.

Mancinis record in Europe was pathetic tbh even his most ardent fans have to accept that.

That's great and everything but it doesn't actually result in any other outcome than Mancini's record. You go out of the competition.

So he did a fantastic building job here and there which didn't bring any lasting success to the club.

Mancini's record in Europe was City's. Our first two years in the CL were always going to take adjustment. Not to mention each campaign we had a finalist in the group.

Where did he get to with Real Madrid?

Again further than Mancini did.

We're planning some extensions for the stadium, fancy giving us a hand there instead?

Though seriously I think they'll look at our away form under Mancini in his last year and Pellegrinis this year and realise we have a problem in our players and not the manager. Chances are he'll be told to 'fix it' while the other two start drawing up plans for a cull.

It was also Napolis debut in the CL yet they totally outplayed us

It was Malagas first European campaign yet they got to the quarters. So the 'adjustment' excuse is just bullshit.

Even our Europa league form was dreadful.

Someone said you were a tactical genius but it appears you just follow the Kevin keegan approach, we will score one more than you. Kids in the playground play that way not players in the toughest league in the world! We thought making our mardarse players happy would improve things. ....we were wrong! Pick up your pay off cheque on the eay out and good luck!

brilliant. spot on.

Hi Manuel, I think we have a little confession to make. When we appointed you we forgot to mention that the teams in the bottom half of the Prem don't spread their cheeks for a good shafting when the big boys come to town as they do in La Liga. We thought you might have noticed at Cardiff, Stoke and Villa. Oh and if your boys just continue to play it round the edge of the box then the ten men behind the ball will just watch. They won't volunteer to lose their shape your boys have to force them into making mistakes.
Oh, and you know we wanted you to concentrate on the Chimps League? Well that progressing from the group stage will mean fuck all if we don't finish in the top four; unless we win the CL of course.
But don't worry, you said we deserved to win and Billy Hill still has us as favourites so clearly neither you nor they watched that fucking pathetic display.
And finally, tell all that overpaid shower of shite to thank the fans at the final whistle rather than just fucking off down the tunnel. - From where I was stood only about three or four of them acknowledge us.

nice one EL2...

And that last bit about the players not acknowledging the fans troubles me a little bit. normally i would have been there, but a couple of expensive trips to london fucked me..if the players , who of course are happy now that big bad bobby has gone,.. can,t even clap the fans for making the journey up there ..its making me angry all over again.

What does ferran say to pelle?

"I'm fucking furious, the fans want the Italian back but that won't happen so they will call for your head before mine. Sort your shit out old man and show why we hired you."

In articulate Spanish of course

I'll take the manager who's won the league and cup in both of the countries he's managed in over the bloke who never has but once made a CL semi.

We lost a manager to keep the players but now it's the players he wanted to get rid of we want rid of.

A few people have used Pelle's age against him.
You may be joking about it but I'm sure you don't need to be reminded that being past 60 is no barrier to winning or leading the PL as current events prove.

How about What Does Mansour Say To Soriano.......... ?

Thank you for increasing revenues and decreasing the wage bill, whilst keeping the team competitive in the PL and in Europe. We will meet FFP and next summer you can sign whatever marquee player Txiki wants.

How's your son Billy doing?

Haha. Suppose it's all you could say with my post being an accurate reflection of the kinds of things which Ferran is responsible for ... :)
