I hope he gets a chance again, shame to see young raw talent waste away. Local lad needs to get fit again and make his challenge

+1

From the little we've seen it's clear he's got a lot of ability. Not sure why some on here are so keen to write him off already, at least the club haven't!

absolutely. why on earth would the club let him go now? they've come this far in his rehab, and he'd fulfil so many things if he came good. a box to box midfielder which we only really have yaya and milner for at the moment, with the latter very rarely used there. he's english, through the ranks, costs nowt and in terms of the wages being dished out now, on peanuts.

We're Man City, we respect our own and we nurture when needed. Money, press, pressure, young and naive. Back the club and the club's players. Never heard Johno say he'd like to leave

You're not a professional if you go out and drink booze? I'd put a bet down that a minimum 70% of professional athletes across all major sports either drink booze, smoke pot, or snort cocaine. Some of the best players in every sport drink more and do more drugs than you could ever imagine. It was the injuries that sunk this kid, not the booze. I still think he's got a chance to make an impact, maybe even here (which would be great). The real point is I'm sick of people sitting on a high horse saying, "I would never drink if I had that talent. Where do these athlete's get off drinking...Blah blah blah"
Get fucking real.

Thats not true, maybe here where the culture is more drinking but other countries most of the athletes are quit strict with their regimes. Balotelli doesnt even drink nor do Yaya, Vierra and many others.

why did he look really pastey and well, downright ill, in the membership advert vid? i dont think weve got the full story here. anyway, im totally rooting for him, why would any of us not be? hes one of our own

How much is a fit MJ worth? Probably the equivalent of a can of skol and a curly wurly which has probably been his diet the last few years.

He might be a gambling man but I'm not sure there is many managers who would gamble on this one.......
