So what price a fully fit MJ?

Why don't we just have a sticky for MJ? It will be a miracle if he every puts on a blue shirt again. Should have shipped him out to Newcastle while we had a chance.

We need 4 club trained players aged over 21 in our CL squad next season. Micah will be one but Logan has now gone. If MJ goes on loan and SWP leaves as is likely only the return of Nedum & Weiss will allow us to operate with a full complement. (Actually Ben Mee is still on the books so maybe he'll be one.)

Anything can happen in football and will happen. If he is fit for pre season and puts in a good preformances you just never know maybe he could force his way into the 25. Who would of thought that JO would of got into the 25 last season. Get him back fit and he can play a part with the squad of players we have.

Is the next season the last of MJ's contract?
Not one appearance in the first team last season.
If only he could make it back to full fitness, he would be worth a fortune for us.
He must have had the best medical support last year but still blighted with injuries.

never going to happen

we will let him go for free when his contract runs out

He might not get the chance to wait that long !

All it's gonna take is one half decent bid for him in the next couple of months and , with his poor injury record , he'll almost surely be 'outed'!

I am a sentimental old fool, he didn't get clearance to play till Christmas time then had a further set back, I am hoping he has till 31st August to show that he can do it even if it means having a good pre season and being involved in pre season friendlies. A fit MJ would certainly help the midfield problems. This one is for the medical team and Bert to sort out, if he leaves feel really sorry that such a talent has been wasted.

Me and my brother talk about this regular away, and I'm not sure how we are going to fair with this rule. Like you say Richards is deffo one. Weiss mayby. But with rumours of Shaun moving soon. Ned upset the manager last season with his public comments, so his future is far from clear. There's a couple of lads under 21 like Cunningham coming back from injury, Boyata if he's not loaned out, and then of course there's Nimely. I can see us only having a named 22 or 23 man squad for the Chumps league this season, with young academy kids promoted to make up the quota.

Time to let it go guys, he was a good prospect. Thats it a prospect who was hampered by injury and thats bad luck but its not our responsibility to now make sure he develops into whatever he could be. Its too late we have moved on and he is not anywhere good enough for the level we are at now. Sorry to be the one to say it he will never wear a blue shirt again.

Its not been reported but he has already going on a season long deal to Leicester.

Strange how people are telling others to give up on him when he is actually fit (or close enough). Why not when he was injured and the club was fully behind his rehabilitation? He's near enough fit now, why not wait and see what he is like on the pitch again when he is 100%?

Some players who have turned out very good had regular horror injuries earlier in their careers. If this latest comeback leads to another injury then I may say "time to let him go" along with the rest of you.

Brian Kidd:

“If you can get Michael in, then the club wouldn’t want to spend money.

We are a work-in-progress. The owners and the board have had this vision, but grassroots will never be done away with at Manchester City.

Before the set-backs, Michael looked as though he would be one of the top midfielders.

They were making comparisons with Colin Bell, one of the greatest midfield players – that’s some achievement.”
