So why suddenly do they talk about Aguero leaving?

If Sergio should go this summer if any team from the premier league come calling we should ask for nothing less than £125m cash, if a club should come up with a player + cash deal, then city should decide which players should come here. let's say it is Spurs we want Deli Alli +Harry Kane + £30m cash or no deal, if one player says no then there is no deal. For a club in Europe we want nothing less than £90m.

Cue the Italians with a 50p a week loan deal, in which we pay the 50p and 101% of his wages, crooked small time cnuts.

I suspect Pep may see any of those names being more suitable to his requirements.

He also regarded Bravo as more likely to keep the ball out of our net than Hart. I'm really struggling with the trade off on this one. It's not as if we're talking about an elephant like Ibrahimovic, plodding through the Premiership jungle and occasionally swishing his tail to stop flies landing on him. Aguero has significantly upped his work rate this season, he's strong, quick, reasonably mobile and he scores more than enough goals to compensate for any relatively minor shortcomings with his work rate. I'd be very reluctant to part with such a player, and that's without even starting on his immense commercial value to the club.

I don't rate any of those mentioned higher than Aguero plus I've no doubt we'd end up selling him at a lesser fee than we'd fork out for his replacement.
It doesn't add up for me. If Aguero wants to stay I'd like to think that the manager will have already took him to one side and explained exactly what's expected from him in the future. I'd also like to think that Pep has more confidence in a world class player being able to tweak his game enough to feature than a few in our fanbase.

Yep, sounds good to me

so we're going to sell Sergio and move ahead with only one striker ? A 19 yr old kid that's played 3 games and not even fully developed is going to carry the burden ? Competition for places is a good thing and we play over 50 games a season. Sergio is staying put and will be a MAJOR contributor to our imminent success. We should close this thread, it's nonsense.

Not sure how clever it would be to replace the best striker the Prem has ever seen with a player who is only a year younger and who hasn't scored nearly as many goals. I know stats don't show everything, but a strikers job is to score goals. Something which Sergio has done on a consistent basis at every level throughout his career. Aubameyang can't say the same and he isn't fit to lace Aguero's boots imo.
I think that is the nub of the issue. Pep likes a player to be flexible and effective in more than one aspect of positional discipline. While Sergio fulfills the classic striker role better than anyone in the Prem, I think his ability to create, assist and help with the build up of play might be where Pep sees him as deficient. A player who may not be as good a striker but is able to contribute more in other areas and enable his teammates to score more goals would probably be a lot more valuable to the team in Peps eyes.

Pep told Sergio at that dinner "I'm want you to stay, if you decide otherwise i understand. Before you leave. ...Do for me what Tevez did for Bobby and you'll be a last minute champion again this summer"

:)

Sergio is going nowhere, I don't get this Jesus hype just yet he's played a couple of games and city fans are now talking about if we sell Sergio, give your fcking heads a wobble he's our main striker and deserves respect for what he's done for our club. He's proved to be a world class striker for us and all this talk is so disrepectable, he's our best striker consistently since he joined, Jesus might take that label in years to come but kun is our King today and Jesus might be our King tomorrow.

The transfer deadline has come and gone, it's only natural that some journos will try to make a mountain out of a molehill about other 'noteworthy' things.

I personally don't pay the 'rumours' any mind, , as far as I'm concerned, it's just the football media exaggerating anything and everything.

He's finished Jesus and Iheanacho are better people may not want to accept this truth but it;s the reality
