Think it's more who they used for promo on the site. Rooney and Bolt in particular. It is for charity FFS.

Strongly agree here. Support for local charities gets money to where its needed not into a multinational's coffers. Local charities for a hospice, for eg, well worth it.I have never watched it and I never will, my charity commitments tend to be local because charity is now big business now in most cases.
Didn't Unicef get into a spot of bother for being unethical?
There's a song in there somewhere.rather walk round oldham in the pissing rain with a nail in me shoe
Are they that short of volunteers that they are naming them twice! Some of team now declared

I shan't be going even if Corradi gets a start. Can't wait for some you tube rag **** to piss on the city badge far bantz and likes.
I'm wondering that offering to host it is a club PR thing. Probably not taking any of our 'expenses' out of the money raised.
I'm tempted to go and boo all the plastic rags that will play.
Get Lee Bradbury as the city legend playing and we'll fill the ground.
The MUEN are gonna go through a lot of felt tip pens circling the 40000+ empty seats.A 10,000 capacity restriction would probably be about right. I'd be happy to pay not to watch a charity kickabout.
Looking at the list of "celebs" I recognised about three, maybe I'm just too old. ;-)
