They will be replaced by someone of colour with a female thrown into the mix absolutely. I hate listening to the women talk, even playing to a professional standard is the equivalent of non league and they wouldn’t put ex non league players on.

It’s hard to complain though when they are happy to pay Merson a wage. Can’t speak, pronounces names wrong and gets any predictions he makes horribly wrong. He’s only kept his job due to mental health. It’s what we have become where these movements have contradicted themselves. People wasn’t getting jobs on merit before as it seemed to be a lads club and a “who you know” industry. Now it’s a tick box exercise of colour and gender, not because they deserve to be there, but because they have to be there. 33% are BAME, focusing specifically on black players it’s a lower number obviously but that’s current and not retired.

In 1992 it was half of that so pundits are naturally predominantly white due to who’s retired.

I think it’s good to see representation from all areas which will be achieved through honest and fair opportunities but clearing out white middle aged blokes because they are just that is wrong imo.

Black footballers as pundits were increasing anyway before this hysterical year because more have been players in the last 20 years than ever before.

Loads of people across all industries retain their jobs despite being bad at it. I'm sure you've worked with people where their ability leaves you scratching your head but they still get paid every month.

Just be happy that 3 utterly dreadful pundits have finally got the chop. It should've happened years ago but better late than never eh.

3 people shite at their jobs being removed isn’t the issue, it’s the shoehorning of the replacements which equally will not be deserving of the role. If the replacements get the position on merit then fantastic. We all know it won’t be though and as mentioned it contradicts what everyone pushes for.
