33% are BAME, focusing specifically on black players it’s a lower number obviously but that’s current and not retired.

In 1992 it was half of that so pundits are naturally predominantly white due to who’s retired.

I think it’s good to see representation from all areas which will be achieved through honest and fair opportunities but clearing out white middle aged blokes because they are just that is wrong imo.

That’s fine, disagreement makes for a healthy society and I welcome it.

I just think it’s not a coincidence that three middle aged white blokes, who have been shit for years and not punished, get the chop when the rest of Sky has ensured 50% black people on their shows and have gone well over the top with BLM.

If this happened last year I wouldn’t think this.

no one is getting angry. It’s being discussed. It won’t be 3 middle aged white men again, no chance and that isn’t an issue if they are upgraded. You say the next people can’t be any worse yet calling people out for not knowing the replacements. We ultimately do not know currently, there’s a very good chance we know it won’t be 3 white men. That’s great if it’s someone with knowledge and insight who freshens it up, to shoehorn a black person in just because they feel they have to is wrong and also counterproductive. It purely and simply should go to whoever is best for that role. Beforehand it hasn’t gone to the best people, moving forward it won’t either yet that’s what I thought everyone was fighting for.

Yes, whomever replaces them can't be any worse, cos the 3 they have got rid of are the absolute pits and bottom of the barrel. So it can only be an improvement, even if it's a very mild improvement.
