I find the media obsession with how many tickets we sell amusing.
Me too. But also own fans obsession with it. If I remember correctly this all started as Rio Ferdinand mentioned it before a CL game a few years ago. Since then it's grown to be a City cliché to be used to beat us a bit like the Utd prawn sandwiches. We don't help ourselves though with that stupid empty seats song and general waffling on about it on here.
Any opposition fan with the slightest knowledge know we have a huge fan base both currently and historically. Anyone claiming otherwise is either on the wind up or a know nothing so don't fall into their trap.
I hope their club goes a decade without the league title, let alone 35 years without a trophy. Then they might learn the meaning of the word loyalty.Me too. But also own fans obsession with it. This morning when they woke up to their club being ridiculed they might have just had an inkling of what it was all about only they lost at the Nou Camp whereas we lost at the Shay. Now they may rightly mock the football club that could lose at the Shay, but they should never mock the supporters of that club. However they did and they do, and hence they'll pay

Wasn’t it our own local paper a few years back that circled the empty seats in the paper? Might have even been the same game that Camel face was on about.
But I and I guess many other blues couldn’t careless if there are some empty seats at each game because we have come through some awful times as a club and now we get to watch the best football on the planet. And there is the plus of if you have an empty seat next to you you have a bit more space to stretch your legs ;)

I wasn't moaning about it just stating a fact, and I agree with you. Why City need to do this is the issue. We should be filling the Etihad without needing to give tickets away.
Maybe it's become too expensive for Mums & Dads to bring their kids, hence the coachloads of school parties. The concession prices for tonight's match in particular are too high.

City should be on to Sky - giving them a kicking but we are just too nice and too polite !
City will not get involved because it does not matter, if we are full, then we are full, if not, then so what is their view
This is partly due to the fact that saying anything opens them up to question on the actual prices they charge for games and where tickets actually go, especially for away games.
The ground will be rocking tonight, not because of what the club has done but because us, the fans will do it to protect us and show others. This will come with the usual, why are they not like this every game, as if any fans are really but also with other slurs, like tourists, plastics blah blah blah
You cannot win this as it now engrained in other peoples minds. My advice is attend if you can and get behind the team. Then lets see where we end up.
