"I've been a blue about as long as you've been a knobhead...." usually works haha ;)

Can i steal this please but change a few word so i don't copyright.

"I've been a blue about as long as you've been a massive ****!..."

Was in Milan last week and wearing my shirt in the hotel, a Liverpool fan (who lives in North Wales!) saw me and said, "another one crawls out of the woodwork"

For the next 5 mins I bladdered him with mine and my family history regarding our support of City, my Dad watching City from the 30's, my first match in 66, the good years of the late 60's and early 70's, the depths of despair in the 3rd division and all the grounds me and the lads went to!

It was the day Brendan Rodgers had been appointed and he didn't even know, I was laughing at the quality of manager that they had appointed and he was seething saying that he was the best young manager around and would lead them to the prem title eventually.

Even if you've only been a blue for 1 year you should still win.

haha quality, I'm stealing this from now on :D

Yea, I'm tired off all the usual crap. Tired of explaining that I first went in '64 and my family have been blues since the Gorton days.

"City fan eh, suppose someone has to"
"All crawling out from under the floor boards now" etc, etc.
"Manc are you?" "No. Born Salford." "But that's in Manchester!"

I just reply now with: "Have you just started out on this life changing career move or have you always been a dickhead?"

I get it often and it's a total shame as I am a 'new' city fan because I didn't actually watch/enjoy football until I was older and my friend forced me to watch his team, man city, play and I became to understand, appreciate and enjoy the sport. He then took me along to wigan away and I was truely hooked. At the same time I started to actually play football (I was the fat kid who avoided sports like the plague but I'll kick your arse on Call of Duty).

So everytime I hear that question I have to admit only since 2008 have I supported city, but it's also the only team I've ever supported.

Proper JCL.

;-)

As I've said before I get this all the time now especially as I've got a Midlands accent. Luckily(?), my sister has only today posted a photo on Facebook that I can use as evidence (my City PJ's must have been in the wash!)...

I've got a Midlands accent too, so I get this all the fucking time. My first game was Port Vale at home when I was 5 years old. I just googled that match, the attendance was 31,608.
