Something’s changed

I remember many years ago, (80's or 90's) hearing 4 scouse guys queueing up to go in the main stand. I asked them if they were at the wrong game. I was told that they were all all life long City fans. I found this really hard to believe because it was hard for a Manc to be a blue in them days nevermind a scouser, or four.
Probably Welsh.

Tonight waiting for the game to start in the top of SS L3, the buzz from the people coming in especially the younger ones was all for Haaland, the only time I’ve seen fans like this was when Messi came into town for the few games he played against us. That change is Haaland, he is a World Superstar already, I also got the impression the typical City is disappearing, certainly from me, this lad has the capability to take us to the next level and beyond. Don’t get me wrong the last 10 years have been brilliant, but this lad, he’s brought something with him, I don’t want to get big headed as a City fan but there’s an air of invincibility about this team with him in it. I never thought anyone could be better than Aguero but by God this lad if he stays 5 years could out smash a lot of his records.
Lets enjoy it for what it is and yes a buzz is spot on as football is never predictable but as they say one game at a time.

Its never a good thing IMO to get too far ahead of yourself for me I am happy just to be able to watch the game against Southampton from afar.

We had some pretty good sides and results under RM , MP and of course the best of the bunch so far.

if we can obtain the next improvement on Pep that will give me even a bigger buzz as good as this bloke is.

It was my stepdad that was the blue. Dad a dipper, Mam a rag. When I decided to support City neither of them liked it but they always backed me, bought me shirts, brought me to games. Dad even rang me from Turkey on holidays on the 13th May 2012 to celebrate with me when we won the title. Actually didn't mind the dippers winning the league couple of years back as he'd passed away that Christmas, just wish he'd gotten to see it.

My eldest is a blue but my youngest supports Arsenal (his mother's influence). I'll buy him Arsenal shirts and bring him to games no problem, he's the right to choose his own team and if City are out of contention for a trophy and Arsenal can win it I'll be cheering the cunts on because I want him to be happy.

My Wife and children are blue, all of my grandchildren are blues. It's a thing mate :)

Dare I say it,still early days like but even pep looks reinvigorated by the arrival of Haaland..

He was buzzin derby day..i could do with some of peps energy, mind you I was dancing round my flat when the six went in..
He is absolutely loving it it right now. Just look at this reaction for the 2nd last night:

Thing is we are gradually evolving into an even better squad and first team team than we had, and have right now.

Before Haaland signed we've had to replace Zabaleta, Yaya, Kompany David Silva and Aguero whilst carrying on winning trophies each year, and we have.

The last 2 seasons or so we've played with a false 9 yet still scored many goals. But we also missed many chances, especially from crosses and corners due to not having a target man.

Now we have Haaland who is scoring goals for fun with a smile on his face whilst scaring defenders and keepers to death.

It's not just about him though even though he's the cherry on our cake. We're a team, and a frighteningly brilliant team at that filled with several experienced world class players, excellent squad and exciting youngsters who are getting up to speed nicely.

We've never had it so good so smile and enjoy it whilst it lasts: )
