winding down in life.
something is going on, i dont know what or why but something has drained the confidence from our players. we have a good manager and good players but something is niggling me as to why we can stumble through some games.losses at wolves and v everton were put down as "it happens in football" but does it?
we just seem to be trudging through the season with a top performance now and again, with the players we have it should be an off day now and again not the other way round.had we qualified for the champions league this time round does anyone think we'd have done as well as spurs have cos i don't.the thing is i dont know why that should be the case.
you could say that bob went to greece for a draw but surely we make some assault on the aris goal, apart from one header we were dire in the final third, that's not down to bob i think the players are responsible for that, unless we are suffering from the "dont make an error" syndrome. our squad is so big nobody dare put a foot wrong as there is a back up player itching for agame.

as i say i just dont know but we do have the players to finish in the top four and really that should already be nailed on but its far from it.
i'm at a loss.

He didn't go for a draw he went for a win. Hence the strong team and the introduction of balotelli. But we powder puffed around as is becoming the norm.

We are not purposeful or pacy enough going forward. That game should have been a walk in the park

unless we are suffering from the "dont make an error" syndrome. ??

Last night so many bad lazy passes that looked like a 10 year old was passing,
& Barry getting in the way of Hart..Hart going out of his area for the handball..thought we played shit last night not a very professional performance in any way.. when you think how much they earn and they cannot pass from A-B its very worrying.
Any decent team last night would have taken us apart

sorry what i meant was he was always going to be happy with a draw, i agree the team he picked was to win the game thats why i say its down to the players, they just seem flat.dont know what it is.

I'm putting it down to the fall-out from a certain defeat in Stretford.

Agreed. That Hart/Barry incident just summed the night up for me. Barry and Tevez gave the ball away almost every time they had it and SWP joined the club in the second half too.

We havent played well since Villa at home. Ok we knocked it around well at OT but we still only created 3 chances. West Brom was ok but the rest have been very average. 7 away games without a win including one against a Div 1 side, one against a championship side and one against a Greek side who are not great....Not good enough

The only light at the end of the tunnel is the return of Balotelli

Strangely I think they're all confident individuals but as a collection are just lacking cohesion. In the past we've had a few shrinking violets but I don't see any now. Somethings must be working because Micah has really grown in confidence.

The ball was given away unnecessarily too many times and when we do attack we don't move quickly enough, it's obvious dzecko is not upto speed yet he doesn't pose that threat for me yet hopefully thatll come unlike ballotelli who I thought posed more of a threat in the fifteen minutes he was on gives the attack more direction especially as tevez was so deep at times last night.

As was discussed on a few threads last night our main problem away from home is that our intricate passing style doesn't work on crap pitches. Once again Bob referred to it in his post match interview but frankly it doesn't wash any more, it is down to the manager to have a "plan B style" that we can implement and at the moment we don't have one.
