something is wrong

I understand the sentiments, Maybe the defeat at the Weekend hit the Players as much as it's hit us on here. As a Team, a group and a squad they genuinely felt as I did that our time was now and they have seen it slip away. The Title at least. That would answer for the dismal showing last night. We are a good side with a strong Manager and I am sure we will come good.

I am sure we will achieve our ultimate aims.Maybe With or without pace in the side, with or without Carlos Tevez, with or without another Centre half to partner Kompany, with or without an additional playmaker to relieve the burden on David Silva.

We are going to fashion our own style of play that will marry the skills of Arsenal and the power of Chelsea. At this point in time we very nearly have the players to come good - but right now; we are just not there and so we fall between two stools.

More Games together as a team and a couple of additions in the Summer and the Football World will tremble.

He didn't go for a draw he went for a win. Hence the strong team and the introduction of balotelli. But we powder puffed around as is becoming the norm.

We are not purposeful or pacy enough going forward. That game should have been a walk in the park

sorry what i meant was he was always going to be happy with a draw, i agree the team he picked was to win the game thats why i say its down to the players, they just seem flat.dont know what it is.

We'll all be happier with a draw than losing, nothing innately Italian nor Mancinian about that, but I agree, de niro, we had probably the strongest side out that we could have, we were playing a bunch of second raters, none of whom, I admit, I had ever heard of, and we offer ninety minutes of a turgid, slow, foot off the gas performance. Some players didn't do themselves justice. Dzeko was 'unlucky' with some of the strikes, but would that shit Nani have buried at least one of them, and OUR overhead kick goes six yards wide.

We are a very expensive telly and the fuckin' picture never settles down, and no matter what the engineer does, no matter how many aerials, dishes, wires and cables he changes we still get this flickerin, rollin'-over picture that does yer 'ead in. Prap's it time to take the telly back and get a refund!

I'm convinced it's the midfield pairing of Barry and Yaya.Neither have the personality or character to impose influence on a game.
Both have little spark and appear soulless to me.

Last night we were badly missing a leader and inspiration(see Komps and DJ).
Tevez as captain is a joke,as talented as he is,he can't speak English and when he is having an 'off' day,as his last two games have been(understandably btw),he offers very little in terms of motivation.

I don't understand why buy dzeko and play all this tip tap shite football around the box and slow build up play. The only time we crossed the ball to him to head he nearly scored but for a good save

that might be because aj is out but i know what you mean.
we have played on good pitches and fell short, we have'nt always had a derby defeat to live with.
we have improved no end and i'm really happy to be challenging at the right end of the table but last night after watching us and spurs it got me thinking.

where exactly are we at.what is it holding us back.

something is going on, i dont know what or why but something has drained the confidence from our players. we have a good manager and good players but something is niggling me as to why we can stumble through some games.losses at wolves and v everton were put down as "it happens in football" but does it?
we just seem to be trudging through the season with a top performance now and again, with the players we have it should be an off day now and again not the other way round.had we qualified for the champions league this time round does anyone think we'd have done as well as spurs have cos i don't.the thing is i dont know why that should be the case.
you could say that bob went to greece for a draw but surely we make some assault on the aris goal, apart from one header we were dire in the final third, that's not down to bob i think the players are responsible for that, unless we are suffering from the "dont make an error" syndrome. our squad is so big nobody dare put a foot wrong as there is a back up player itching for agame.

as i say i just dont know but we do have the players to finish in the top four and really that should already be nailed on but its far from it.
i'm at a loss.

i would of thought it`s obvious, spurs attack quickly, while we attack at a snails pace mostly, spurs have excellent wingers who get round the back of opposition defence with devastating pace we dont. having possession is great , but you have to use it to strike not pass aimlessly trying to be a poor man`s barca.

oh and i presume this was the answer you wanted to your rhetorical question.

i still believe we have to be patient and see how we develope under bob. this is probably the answer you dont want :)

Bob needs to get a grip of the team now. He can't let this go on or the season could get away from us. With Mario back and weak opposition next I think it's time to rest Tev which will make some of the others take more responsibility on the pitch. It will also give Dzeko the chance to play proper number 9 role which he can't when Tev is on. Whatever Bob chooses to do, I now think we need a couple of convincing wins I the next two games to get things back on track. I also hope we've seen swp play his last game. He's soft and flattered to deceive with one run and shot over but in the last game couldn't buy a completed pass!

Tactics.

Mancio is an great Mental and Emotinal Coach, theres no doubt. But the tactialy setup is looking pretty limited to me, also its to much defence orienteded. Aint see any trained walkways, seems that the Players even have problems holding their positions in Ball posession.

We've looked deflated since the Arsenal game. The wheels came off in the next game, Leicester, where the beginning of our problem marking set pieces started.

Since then, we've frequently played as if in a daze.

I would not worry too much, We were confident enough on Saturday.

I honestly dont think we were prapared for last night at all.

We had a massive game on saturday, Then they had a rest day sunday, Monday was spent traveling to Greece, they didnt leave until Mid Day wich ment they wont have arrived at their hotel until at least 6-7pm Greek time , which means there will have left fuck all time to prapare.

Not saying thats the only reason we didnt seem interested, But im sure it played a big part.

We will destroy them at CoMS
