somethings eating me alive

no problem sleeping just very itchy raised swollen little bite like lumps that take ages to heel after being scratched, seems to be on the tender parts of the body like inside top of arms waist line buttocks and ankles

Scabies are awful at night so it's probably not then.

Crabs:)

Midge bites? I suffer from these...my lower leg nearly 'burst' on a few occasions such was the swelling. I'm literally a walking slab of kebab meat for the blighters.
We live near a river so are plagued with them (the swifts and sand martins can't consume them quickly enough).
Starts with an itch, then raised red lump...and if it progresses my leg (tends to be worse on my lower legs) swells up). I just react badly to these bites, although I've stated dabbing (not that type of dabbing) with this after bite pen and taking anti-histamine tablets (loratadine based) which helps them hugely.
Have you tried Avon 'skin so soft' (the old type for fishing) mate? A Scottish ghillie recommended it to me years ago. Works really well for me, although you do smell like a bit of a whoopsie :)

get yourself to a pharmacy and show the pharmacist the rash. They will be able to advise you on medication or if a trip to the doctor is necessary
