somethings eating me alive

no problem sleeping just very itchy raised swollen little bite like lumps that take ages to heel after being scratched, seems to be on the tender parts of the body like inside top of arms waist line buttocks and ankles

Waist line, buttocks and ankles does make it sound like scabies but as someone else has said you seem to itch more at night. When I had it I'd sometimes wake myself up itching, my buttocks were that itchy at times it felt like I'd set fire to my own arse. My wrists were really bad too, I ended up throwing away a watch because it was such a pain to get rid of.

To get rid I covered myself in cream overnight and essentially torched anything I'd come in to contact with (apart from my arse), and had to do this on more than one occasion (you'd get rid of it, then touch a towel, bedclothes, watch etc. that you hadn't torched and you'd get it back!) so I don't think it is scabies as the itching is just constant, but that said from the areas you are experiencing it does sound like something is biting you, be that bugs or mites

funny you should mention this, my mate had the exact same symptoms , he ended up going to the doctors a couple of times over about 3 weeks , drove him mad so ask the doctor to put him in touch with a skin expert(sorry don't know what their proper name is)

he had an appointment last week with the skin specialist, but never made it,died a horrible slow and agonising death because of this skin thing.

hope that's set your mind at ease :)

If it is scabies you can see their tracks under your skin and you will have them in your elbow folds.
You get a lotion from the doc, put it all over, it burns your bollocks like a good un. Leave it to dry then wash it off. You must wash all your clothes and bedding thoroughly as well.
All the family will need treating.
