Songs banned by the BBC.... and why.

IIRC yes he did, like a lot of songs it was banned part way through it's chart run after they realised ding a ling was a willie.
Didn't stop it going all the way to number 1. I don't think it was banned by the BBC. Mary Whitehouse tried to get Alice Cooper banned and he always said it was the best PR the band could ever have had. School's Out rocketed to number 1 a couple of weeks later.
