A definite 'influence' on...

Funnily enough I've never heard any of those songs before but I think the primal scream one is much better, a nicer listen.
The Stone roses sound too much like the Byrds for me.

Was stuck in traffic yesterday and listening to “Morning Glory” when I suddenly realized it rips the riff from REM’s “The One I Love.” Then I found out everyone knows this already which is perhaps why no one’s mentioned it.

I may have known it but I can't remember knowing it so it's quite possible that I didn't know it.

Although the chorus is different the verses seem to lend a lot from this... I think he's also copying Mick Jagger a bit.
