I was at that match. It was in the 60's at Maine Road, I think our first season back in the old 1st Div under Joe & Big Mal. The Chelsea fans were singing 'Osgood IS good, Osgood IS good'. To which the Kippax responded 'Osgood NO good, Osgood NO good'

Osgood gave 2 V-signs to the Kippax, and had the last laugh as City lost. TBF he WAS good that afternoon.

Remember him scoring in ‘79 against us in the snow. Was all ticket in Platt Lane because of trouble Chelsea had had shortly before. Caught a lot out who normally paid cash (including my dad)!

We’d started the ‘it’s just like watching Brazil’ song later appropriated by Barnsley and others and were belting it out like gusto after going ahead
Cue one of our defenders passing the ball straight into touch from the edge of our own penalty area. The baggies fans started with the ‘just like watching Brazil’ right back at us
The response from our end was glorious
