Depends how you measure success. Winning a cup that you only entered as you failed to progress from the group stages of the CL is not great success for a club like United imo.

That s what I find funny about the trophys won comparison.We get accused of only winning one European trophy but had we failed in the CL and entered the Europa failures cup we would have probably won it a few times over the last few years. It's a complete joke thst if you get knocked out if the CL you go into the Europa !

Wasn't expecting this to be bumped again this season...I'd already changed the thread title in readiness for the start of 21/22 when no doubt after a big win against a promoted side with a little PiGMOL help the media will be full of such comments as they're back/turned a corner .... except they won't be/haven't and we'll need to mobilise again.
