Many of the more sensible ones see through it; but even then there are so many, including otherwise sensible ones, that think he's 'the one'. It's quite astounding.

It's also lucky, as they are going to (rightly) blame the players right up until the penny finally drops that it's not an either/or situation, it's the players AND the manager. By then he should have done a lot more damage - enough to screw up next season, I hope.

And then they'll need to try to find a manager who can undo the mess...

With 4 managers in the space of 6 years shouldn't we be looking higher up the food chain for a culprit. But dont tell everyone.
 
It's amazing how many rags are deluded into thinking that whoever they appoint will be the right man. I know a highly intelligent rag (I know it's not normally possible, but based on law of averages there have to be at least a few) who also knows football well, and when Maureen was appointed he thought it was the best solution despite me questioning him quite strenuously about it. Now that OGS has been appointed, again he thinks it's a great appointment despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I find it quite staggering.

Anyway, the more rags there are that are delusional like this the better because there will be less pressure to sack him quickly, which means more time in the job to inflict damage on the club.
