Soriano and Begiristain what do we want?

People are talking about affordable seasoncards and match tickets but that's really unlikely to happen whilst the ground continues to sell out.

It's unlikely to happen period. However there must be a concious effort to offer affordable seats. If so make the third tier cheap so that lower income fans have an option rather than be.priced out full stop. If we don't do this then we let down fans and are no different from greedy clubs we all hate.

#together is keeping us together rather than divides based on incomes, when we go through the turnstiles we are all equal, we are all Blues, regardless if whether one can afford to buy beers and pasties and the other brings in their own food and drink. Long may that continue. I'd hate to see the club price out fans, it'd be a travesty.

I wouldn't be paying £507 for a seasoncard if we weren't able to offer the quality of football and strength of opposition we presently do. I'm going to have to have a long think about renewing next season because it's costing me every spare penny I have. And I write this as a single guy in a reasonable job with no kids to support.

If we had a 65.000 capacity stadium, and we lowered ticket prices with let's say 10%, I think we would more often than not see a sell-out, more match-day revenues for all the dealers as well. Not to mention the added atmosphere in the arena. Would be fantastic to a a standing section.

I understand 60k is the capacity they can extend to. I'd personally look at moving the away fans unless their own attendances increase. They barely bring anyone sometimes.

You're well within your rights mate. Personally I'd recommend you downgrade to a 'Blue' and go to matches you fancy here and there rather than struggle.

I am saving for house and have a child. Food, drink, travel and ticket cost over 100 each game hence I'm a 'Blue' rather than ST. You cut cloth accordingly, my gravest fear is that people cannot even be 'Blues' and are confined to television viewing only due to cost.

Thank god we don't support Arsenal!

I want them to help to turn this club into a major force in Euorpean and Domestic football. I want to be in a position where other clubs look at the Man City model and say, 'That's how it should be done'
I want a Youth Academy that is the envy of the world and I want every promising young footballer to grow up dreaming of playing for Man City.
I want us to beat Barcelona in the CL final by outclassing them at their own game.
I want us to win trophy after trophy until everyone is fucking sick to the back teeth of us. That'll do for starters.

That covers it for me. Spot on.

Totally agree - stick em up in the top tiers in the corner like Newcastle do....

quote="NipHolmes"]This is a simple question.

Success, on and off the field to rival Europe's elite. We need household names for commercial revenue gain and we need a top manager to steer the way to the top. Getting passed group stages should be a prerequisite of the job, not a mammoth task. We will play a uniform playing style from kids to starting eleven (4-3-3). We will need to ensure kids are taught well but also retain them, no good bringing them up and them plying trade elsewhere, we need them to bleed blue (not always possible but a kid with loyalty is a huge asset).

First and foremost they will want to right wrongs. This will start with culling overpaid fringe-players and first-team players who don't quite cut the mustard. We will have an eleven as good as anyone's and a bench capable of changing games and youth more than able to step up.

FFP will be adhered to, as much for good PR than anything else, I don't suppose HRH Mansour will protest too much being as he's an accomplished businessman.

Finally what I hope the owners want more than anything else is to make things to make sure that City doesn't lose its core values. Fans mean everything to clubs, I hope genuine fans who earn modest incomes aren't priced out, for me that's as big a travesty as losing Silva and Aguero on the same day to United. Players come and go but fans remain, the future should ALWAYS be based around them.

Love this post - we should make it "The Bluemoon Charter" !!

I think expecting any kind of overall decrease in ticket prices is naive. Soriano is reported to by targetted with whacking £100m+ on the top line.

What I'd hope, assuming ground expansion, is that there will be areas of the ground which are much cheaper than others, a bit like what was the case back in the old days where you'd pay £2.50 for the Main Stand and only 90p for The Kippax. Safe standing would make this much easier to achieve but that's out of City's hands. If that didn't happen I still think the price differential at City does not reflect the difference in quality of view from each seat.

I'd hope that we'd have thousands of people paying a lot of money for a great seat and top class facilities. And also thousands of people paying a lot less for a shit seat, coinciding this hopefully with an Atmosphere area.

"Atmosphere" was the name of one of Bury's premier nightspots in the 80's as I recall. Aptly situated next to the fish market. I think City should be looking to incorporate this type of venue into the Kippax so that we can maximise our enjoyment of Black Lace tunes. Perhaps there are other quality discotheques that would enhance the matchday experience in the other three stands....
Obviously, season ticket prices would have to reflect such improvements and my calculations suggest that £1.30 per person per annum would suffice. This would help us to meet FFFP and conquer Europe.

I was thinking more of joy division's 'Atmosphere' to be honest. Fans in that area pay the price of a 12 inch single in 1980 (£2.49) and have to wear raincoats and look morose.

A bit like the old Gene Kelly stand at Maine Road I suppose.

It's gonna be interesting to see how this summer goes.

Looks like we will be selling A LOT of players.

I hope Taxi man knows where he is going because if he doesn't this could mean an end to the rebuilding era.
