But you don't need to have your day in court. As you say it is enormously expensive and time consuming. That's the whole idea. You tie them up legally and drag it out time wise whilst racking up the legal bills (we can afford it). Sooner rather than later the publication(s) in question get the message that writing blatant lies about the club is going to hurt them badly in the pocket and take up an inordinate amount of time and resource - so they become far more particular about what they publish. Yep the lawyers win (as always) but the tactic works.Be careful what you wish for.
Aside from being an enormously expensive and time-consuming activity, the rewards for going to court are almost always less than satisfactory.
All you have to do is consider how City's comprehensive victory at CAS has been misrepresented (or look at the fall out from some other current high profile cases) to realise how there are few things in life as vastly overrated as "having your day in court".
sounds sensible tbh.But you don't need to have your day in court. As you say it is enormously expensive and time consuming. That's the whole idea. I'm too busy catching up with all the match / trophy / parade videos on the OS to listen to those two bellendsJim Shite sounding borderline sarcastic reading out the quotes.
Jordan still accusing us of dodgy finances as usual
There are plenty of ways to protect your reputation without going to court. Legal action is the nuclear option. It is great that finally City are on the front foot. It is easy to correct false stories these days. We can reach more people directly via social media and other channels than the tabloid press. We need to work harder. If you leave false information out there it becomes the accepted truth.Be careful what you wish for.

But would we want to act like the piss can .I remember hearing Ladyman on the radio several years ago. He was recalling the time he wrote a 2 paragraph, mildly critical throwaway piece on Rooney during the off season. Ferguson (on a sunbed in his villa in the south of France) read it and when Ladyman arrived for the first press conference of the season he was refused entry. When the Mail complained, he banned the lot of them, went on for over 12 months iirc.
Jordan knows how to run a football club, into the ground. They might as well have my wife on the show talking about football finance. He knows fuck all about us.Jim Shite sounding borderline sarcastic reading out the quotes.
