Never ever felt the need for one.

A good AV sound system is fantastic if you want to create a near cinema experience or you use Blue ray or watch a lot of stuff that has Dolby digital sound. The difference between that and your tv speakers has to be heard to be believed. A good sound bar + subwoofer + 2 rear speakers can sound great. Personally, I think a five speaker system sounds even better. You can get a marked improvement in TV sound by spending a couple of hundred quid, spend a grand and you can get a very impressive result.Is anyone else quite alright with the sound from there tv without a soundbar.
