It was put on the website and facebook page a couple of weeks ago, I said it earlier and others have said the same-the minority who think they are speaking for the majority aren't always right and given the poor take up so far this certainly seems one of those occasions. No one can blame a lack of publicity as it has been put our there by the club, it's on here as well, people obviously aren't that bothered or feel they don't want to give up a better seat to sit behind the goal where the view may not be as good-also remember there have been a couple of very negative threads on here recently about fans experiences in there with other City fans recently that won't help.

You can't force people to sit/stand where you want them to, it's their choice and from what I can see the so called fans representatives who put forward this idea appear to have been off the mark with this one.

the club needs to publish this on its website, with every ticket bought, at the villa game, on it's facebook etc. etc. it also needs to make it really easy for people to relocate. at the moment noones got a clue whats going on.

in other news, the BA is getting a loud, proud, loyal banner for the game to go behind the goal. hoping to have it all sorted this week, but still need your help regarding donations (no matter how small) to help make it happen. you can donate via paypal to thebluealliance@hotmail.co.uk. below is the design

i was at the meeting with the club along with ric. can't remember everything that was said but pretty sure everyone agreed that the only way this would work would be to make it visually impressive & also for them to really push the 'relocation thing' via website, facebook, text, posters, get supporter club branches involved etc. still time yet so hopefully they will do this.

don't know if this was meant as a sly dig against those that did 'represent' the fans, however you need to take into account

a) there aren't any away fans to have 'banter' with so regardless the atmpshphere is not going to be any worse than it would've been.
b) the club is listening & trying new things that will only work with fans support, and fair play to them for it.

Re: Operation One End - Villareal

There isn't much fans support for this, which is where everyone involved assumed wrongly it was the majority that wanted it for some reason.

I'm not bothered either way myself, but as something 'the fans' were supposed to want they appear to have a strange way of showing it.

As I said earlier, no one can complain about lack of publicity as it was on the OS a couple of weeks ago, so it's not like the club haven't pushed it:

Re: Operation One End - Villareal

Just to clarify, we didn't talk the club into this or anything; it was their idea, but I feel it's worth trying as it has been raised as an issue in the past. If it doesn't work then it's no big drama, at least the club can say they gave it a try.

Operation One End - Villareal

This is turning into the usual 'sheikh must wonder why we don't deserve 28,000 champions league fans becoming spoilt' nonsense . It's going
To take longer to shift these tickets because most vocal fans are staying where they are, and more importantly there are no season ticket holders in there.

This fucking place saps your spirit sometimes, Jesus .

8 of us moved into 115!! lets get behind this lads. at the end of the day its not to feed egos on who is right who is wrong, its to get behind the lads in a crucial game!!!!

That is what its all about, maybe people are afraid it might just work. Dread to think some people on here might get something right for a change, at least they are trying.

Re: Operation One End - Villareal

I would love to see the South Stand full of banners, inflatables, scarfs & flags on this night. Are City doing anything to help?

thats a great idea hope the club help out, wish they would sell inflatables and sell the profits onto charity ?

They tried to get a banner/inflatables party atmosphere going for Napoli but to be honest I didn't notice many at all, did anyone else?
