Agreed mate, we were awful, but I also have to say, they didn’t play like the worst team in the league tonight, and they deserve some credit for that.
I still hope Everton crush em on Saturday though, and you just know they’ll get rolled over in the semis when their opponents put out their strongest team.

Anyway, on we go. Get a good win on Saturday and I’ll soon forget about this. Media blackout tonight/in the morning though ;-)

Only bright spot I can think of - we went out of the League Cup at Wigan then beat the rags three days later in the last Maine Rd derby.

What a total embarrassment - not on decent performance but Gomez, Cancelo, Philips and Palmer are not good enough for us. Also I am starting to worry about Walker.

We couldn't handle the press. It.completely destroyed any chance of getting momentum thus endless side and back passes. The starting line up was again a pile of absolute shite and that overthink written all over it.

I think it was one of those starting elevens where Pep feels is just strong enough to tip the balance, but has to resort to the team that should have started. But when you concede a goal like Southampton's second, the shit is hitting the fan with barely a quarter of the game gone.

Tough watch. Can't afford any more of that in the coming month. Posters have said they don't look arsed but I disagree with that and it's concerning tbh. Need much more quality both going forward and defending or we will be empty handed come the end of the season.

Is this finally the wake up call this season or is it the beginning of a down turn for Pep and the team?
