Southampton (A) - Carabao Cup | Post Match Thread

Dreadful from the first to last minute.

I feel sorry for my lad, drove down for his last live game for the next 8 weeks or so as his lady is due a baby and that's his last memory.

We do have history of playing shite before battering the scum, that's all I can take from tonight.
 
Abysmal. It's on Pep for how poor we have been over the period but tonight the players have to shoulder a lot of it. They didn't have any fight or hunger or quality. Gomez was shite (with no help) and Cancelo continued his run of turd. Phillips was the most disappointing - massive opportunity and he stank.

We just aren't playing that well at the moment, 45-60 minutes on Sunday aside, and Saturday should worry Pep.
 
Southampton throughly deserved their victory. Huge questions on Pep and certain players. Our season could be done in a few weeks unless we massively improve and find some kind of consistency. Let’s be totally honest, overall we have been way below our usual standards this season. Some great performances/half’s from us but mostly way off our usual level. Saturday is a huge game for our season.
 
Completely outplayed. Be ashamed Pep and all the players, You let everyone down tonight. Heart goes out to all the top blues going down there today and having to watch that. How on earth could we be that bad. No understanding or team spirit at all.
 
Only gonna put some positives:

-Fewer upcoming fixtures
-Cancelo played himself out of the first team for a while
-Lavia at £40m will be a bargain
 
All on purpose to save three games of course.

Be nice for a small club to win it this season, it doesn’t count anyway according to our red friends.

All jokes aside fucking woeful and I’m genuinely worried about Saturday now.
