Southampton (A) - Post Match Thread

Grealish was excellent
I didn’t think he was excellent today but he was better than Foden, Sterling and Bernardo.
Kev too in the first half.
I do think he had a good game though, maybe that’s me being harsh cos of the shite around him today.

Huffed and puffed, just couldn't find that killer touch. Bad day at the office but we're still looking good for the league.

I will say this - we win that match with a world class centre forward.

Are people really giving Jack Grealish all this abuse already? Seriously catch a fucking grip! We drew one game out of 13 and carrying on like entitled twats.
Grealish is here about 6 months, He didn't ask to be bought for £100m...Give the chap a chance to fid his feet in this system under Pep. It normally takes a season or so for players to settle so give Jack time you whining gits.

His finishing has always been erratic but I'll take him as he is. He's been brilliant for City.
Tbh this season he has done better than last 2 seasons but he is not setting it he division on fire like he was . We should cash in on him .

The league is over. You can’t shit yourself because we didn’t win 26 in a row to see out the season.

After 6 seasons people should know better than constantly questioning this side and the manager and their ability to win.

What's the point of saying the league is over?

It's not about questioning the team. I believe in the manager and the team. But there are things out of our control: VAR, injuries, Covid, luck, etc. Tendencies in football may be stable to an extent, but they are not set in stone. Dramatic changes happen. Nothing to do with Pep and the team. Normally, 8-9 times from 10, we win this, but surprises happen in football and even Pep, the best manager imo, can't control everything.
