'A' game needed. Chase and hunt the opposition like the early days under pep. Mentally everyone switched on. KDB get your thoughts together and lead your boys through this battle. We beat them we send a warning to other teams.
 
We could be 11 points behind Pool when we start our game. Pressure is well and truly on for Pep.
(Doubt Palace can get anything today, they have lost to Pool home and away last 3 season straight.)

For us we need to raise the tempo and convert our chances, but fuck it we write that after each of our game, surely Pep says the same to the players but nothing happens really.

Soton improved huge from last season to this, especially in attacking department. Still they could decide to sit back tight and hit us on counters because that is not how they play most of the time but against us that can easily work and their manager is good enough to adapt/change based on opponents.
 
Play Haaland up top on his own and we win..simples. I’m dreaming of a blue Christmas. It’s gonna be a tough game ,always is here. City for the win.
 
I have a feeling we're going to see the lads on it from the off today. Southampton are a good team, but we have something to prove. Today is when the goals start to come.
 
Simply, we are not clinical or ruthless enough in front of goal. Our urgency to go forward and catch them on the counter attack has completely disappeared.
Defensively, we still commit some real howlers, which hopefully will be less and less.
Take our chances and we can win this. I don’t see anything but a draw though. They won’t want to try and come at us in their own style.
 
Gone for a draw on the vote. Not predicting any type of stellar performance cos' I dont know what to expect

3pts needed though, so fingers crossed we put our chances away
 
Good to see a lot of positivity is coming back, I’ve just changed my vote from draw to win. Get your shooting boots on blues!

Now or never for this team. It's been a shite year, and I'm happy enough to not win the league if we can start looking like the pieces are being put into place, but we can't afford another lackluster performance today, and if there is I'm more than happy to start talking about a root and branch rebuild.

Alas, you only get to say a sign of a good team when winning while playing bad is if you actually win! Otherwise you're just a team drawing or losing while playing bad!
 
Southampton just 2hrs from me, normal times I'd be parked up by now and heading to Yates bar. A couple of pints probably bought upstairs less busy. Listening to City theme songs from the DJ and watching our rivals lose on the big screen. Today that would have been red scouse, Happy days indeed.
Oh and a City win feeling confident.

That’s bullshit Kaz. He isn’t a makeshift striker. Pep considers him a “forward”, his words. And forwards are there to put chances in the net. We all saw Pep’s reaction to Sterling’s miss against Burnley on Amazon’s docuseries. He expects them to score.

I love Sterling and always stick up for him but he is missing too many clear chances (along with a number of others) and unless that changes, our season will be fucked.

He is not to blame over and above an actual striker , he did really well last season but his instinct is not the same as a striker , he is also not helped playing on the left , pep has not got it right , he needs to change over but we are right sided heavy which is not great planning , tbe shoehorning players here there and everywhere does my nut in

Foden is shit? Are you on the wum? He's the brightest young prospect we have and puts a shift in when played. Get behind the lad or get back to ragcafe or rawk! : /
