I am by no means a fighter I’ve had one fight in my life and lost it badly. But I can’t help but feel guilty even today I didn’t confront them.
But my 10 and 6 year old wouldn’t have appreciated seeing their dad get filled in so I keep telling myself I did the right thing even if I don’t believe it deep down.
Just a horrible experience as we where just minding our business.
I have adhd and autism so I tend to over analyse things and I can be over sensitive Perrhaps I’m being too harsh on myself but I just can’t shake the feeling of guilt.
Be funny if they win the play-offs and he's banned for it.Saw a group of angry you lads shouting "dirty northern bastards" on the way out, trying to goad city fans but everyone was ignoring them. Seen a Facebook video of a pillock in yellow trying to start a fight and getting arrested.
You did the right thing 100%, scenario 1 you twat one and the others fuck off, you walk away feeling like a thug especially in front of your kids and wonder if it’s been caught on CCTV AND the old bill could come knocking, scenario 2, you get beat up in front of your kids and your wife joins in and gets thumped as well. Scenario 3, take it on the chin and laugh it off. You’ll see scenarios 1 and 2 are shit, you took the right option not just for you, but your wife and kids. Thanks I appreciate that kind message.

Our end had a whole swathe of empty blocks opposite where I was (523-526), and the two blocks next to the one I was in (506) were pretty sparse (more expensive than the block I was in). The club wembley seats were probably less than 50% full.Yeah first thing I noticed on the box, lower tier about the 18 yard line quite a few groups of empty seats in their end, guess they didn’t sell out after all. If they got about 36000 tickets and sold 35000 who were the other 35000? Looked like City probably had at least 30000 and that’s pushing the neutral number past a credible 5000.
3000 of them were probably Leicester too.View attachment 190419Plastic fans, they say? Quick recce suggests St Mary’s capacity about 30-31K. How many of them struggled to make a Saturday 3pm kick off in February in the 4th round?
One team town, easy walk from city centre. Inexcusable, Brian.
No point trying to take on 8 nobheads when you’re on your own. If there were 30 blues with you do you think they’d have been so cocky? No they wouldn’t. You did the right thing so be proud of yourself.Had a horrible experience in a McDonald’s about 10 miles from Wembley.
Was just my wife, 2 young boys and myself and about 8 stone island wearing Southampton fans came in starting talking about how shit city fans are etc and just being unpleasant.
I did bite back unfortunately and said would you lot take 30k twice a year to old Trafford at £70 a pop and how it was city’s 33rd visit.
Ended up calling my wife fat and telling her to fuck off. Regrettably I didn’t hear them say that until I got back to the car but decided against going back in. Feel bad/guilty about the whole thing tbh. Ruined a lovely day

Lol.....no it's not. It’s actually quite a rough town, certainly by Home Counties’ standards. Not as rough as Portsmouth though.
Difficult mate but don’t give it a second thought. You have got nothing to prove and you got home safely with your family etc.
People like that, who behave in such a way, typically have wider issues/unhappiness. Once the hangover wears off they have got to face that stuff day after day.
For me, they're the best moments of any trip to Wembley. If it's mid-season I'd always check what teams are in town and look forward to the regional rivalries and accompanied bants. It's when you wear your Mancunian heart with immense pride, sharpen the one-liners and take it to the scousers/geordies/yonners/yamyams/chavs/loiners (delete as appropriate). We stand our ground (no runners) as we've always done, our unique sense of self-deprecating humour gives us the upper hand in any verbals and when it goes down you know your back is covered.I didn't see a single incident all day. There were loads of different groups of fans at Euston with Pompey coming off a train when Southampton were on the concourse. Arsenal and Newcastle were there too. Lots of songs going around but no trouble.
Must have been a very short while.....a Cockney accent is as different as Scottish, Welsh or Irish to anyone in Hampshire .Worked there for a while about 12 years ago, everybody sounded like a farmer. They all sounded like Cockerneys yesterday
Who cares what they think.
Apparently a bit of fighting amongst themselves in the Green Man. A combination of sunshine, coke and the jerk chicken no doubt.
The very worst of society these fuckwits.Unfortunately this country is infested with rags and dippers, haven’t the balls to support their local club.
A lot of youngsters have adopted a version of estuary english down the A3 60 miles away.Must have been a very short while.....a Cockney accent is as different as Scottish, Welsh or Irish to anyone in Hampshire .
And good to see Mick Channon at half time . Never really took off at Maine Road but I loved the way he glided past players .Really sad to read this. I'd like to apologise on behalf of our idiot brigade. We've never really been that sort of club in my time going but there's definitely been an increase over the past 5 years or so with the rise of nippers who can't handle their beer and pervert powder.
Please don't tar us all with the same brush as most of us are embarrassed by this sort of behaviour. Bet hardly any of the cunts will be at Preston next Saturday.
