The problem is with BBC radio manchester they only pay co commentators about 25 quid a match ( according to David White last season ) weaver probably only covered his petrol money from Sheffield and back last night in his Lamborghini !! I suppose it can be a stepping stone to bigger and better things , Micheal Brown ( who I thought was pretty average as a pundit ) used to do local radio but now appears to be a regular co-commentar on 5 liveNicky Weaver must not ever be used again, "Er sniff yeah sniff sniff, " as a reporter/celebrity he is a glottal disaster, paired with the extremely unwitty anchor who found his many ways of slagging the attendance to be "funny" . " Dire" is being kind to the twat.....

I agree about the BBC the problem for City is the rights are held by the BBC

37,143 according to the BBC. Not bad considering we had gates of 30k to 35k in late 70's and early 80's on Saturdays with a 3pm ko in the old 1st Div.What was the attendance btw ? I am guessing 30-35 k ?

I have been wondering why City don't do a match day radio. My friends husband is an Arsenal fan and they do it and it's quite good tbh. Following on our website is a nightmare depending on who is updating it as sometimes it's so long in between posts that I think it's frozen.GMR is dire, I've had no options recently whilst working/driving, but to listen to it's horrendous commentary.
Tuned in mid match and they talked about everything else for up to 8 minutes before mentioning what was happening on the pitch. How hard can it be to talk about the match.
Frustrating and dire, GMR has died since cheesy left, used to religiously listen to the pre match, but rarely switch it on due to its poor content.
City need their own match day radio channel with stats and in depth commentary of what's happening ON the pitch.
GMR is a Luke warm attempt, it's a complete waste of time. It doesnt immerse you in the match, I often start swapping channels in the hope of finding out what's going on ON the pitch.
