Southampton (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

As they say, the sign of champions is finding a way to win when you aren’t at your best, and we did that today.

Three points, top of the table, and hopefully Liverpool and Arsenal draw so we stay there.

I actually feel we have moved that bar and the scousers and tarquins have picked up a lot of points when playing poorly but over the season lost out due to us being a cut above.

Our margin for error has been very small with Wolves (A), Southampton (H) Fulham (H), Newcastle (A) and Arsenal (A).

11 points out of 15 is a great return, but very easily could have been less.

This doesn't apply when you play genuinely average against a team who willost likely go down

Rarely look at the full table but just did and how have Southampton only got one point? If we’d gone in at the break all square today, I don’t think many would have begrudged them.

You should look at the full table much more...there's a red team in a rather amusing position down there.

There’s a mistake in this post, I’m trying to work it out, gimme a minute :)

Home now. Phew, that was another tough watch and given Arsenal and Liverpool meet tomorrow a huge three points. It keeps the pressure on and one or both of them are going to drop points. Happy days.
We desperately need some bodies back and not to.pick up anymore injuries.
Hopefully once we do our performances start flowing better. I was amazed how comfortably Southampton kept possession, at times we just couldn't get the ball.
Still, top of the league in spite of our injuries and not hitting anything like top form yet.
