A lot of talk down here that they haven’t pulled the trigger in the Ralph sacking as they expect a heavy defeat and don’t want any morale loss to come at the expense of a new manager/players

We need to remember our failure last year to beat them in the league, show proper professional respect, and beat them hollow. 5–0.

We always seem to make them look like 1970 Brazil so hopefully we can finally beat them.

Referee: Andy Madley. Assistants: Derek Eaton, Steve Meredith. Fourth official: Robert Jones. VAR: Lee Mason. Assistant VAR: Adam Nunn.

Not on TV for those in the UK but there are ways.

I think it's fair to say we owe this lot one after last season, where for some reason we just couldn't break them open and only scored 1 goal in the 2 league games, we did batter them in the FA Cup though.

Pep said in the post match interview tonight that Walker will be out for a while, so that's a bit of a worry. I assume Stones is still out. I expect Phillips to still be out following is surgery.

Unsure whether Rodri is fit enough to start.

My Team Prediction:
--------------Ederson
Cancelo---Dias---Ake---Gomez
-------------Gundogan
-----De Bruyne---Bernardo
Foden-----Haaland----Grealish

Centre backs is a case of pick any right footer to go with any left footer, they're all good.

I'd start Rodri over Gundogan if he's fit.
I always look forward to your pre-match thread kick-offs - so thank you for diligently starting us off. Sadly I live 3+ hours drive from Manchester so I don't make every game - so very interested in your 'there are ways' comment - do you have a streaming suggestion to view the game?
