I thought Jack looked a lot better today.
He was certainly on the ball, and involved, more, but his lack of end result is troubling.
That said, the team’s lack of end result was not up to snuff, either.
Hit woodwork twice (KDB & Rodri) and missed two good headed opportunities (Laporte and Jesus), but not only did enough to win that game, but had key decisions stolen from us.
The penalty isn’t given because IT WAS A FOUL, BUT WAS OUTSIDE THE BOX…when anyone can see it was at least on the line!
Didn’t even get the foul!
The red card isn’t given because… well, can there be a good reason???
The resultant impact injury speaks for itself, and Old Ralphie boy knew it, because he yanked Armstrong off right quick!!
One more thing:
Danny Higginbotham does analysis over here and the other week, PRIOR TO THEM PLAYING, he said to watch Soton…after about 60-70 mins, they’ll have a player go down, get treatment on the field, and the team will go to the sideline for tactics, energy bars, gels & drinks and a few minutes rest! He was not saying they’re cheating, but they do it every game to get that break, get some instructions from the manager, and get a boost!
Sure enough, Armstrong went down, Physio came on, took over 3 mins and the players all went for a brew on the sideline!!
F’ing joke!
